Meet Your Instructor, Erica!
Erica Pefferman was born and raised in Joplin, MO. From a very young age, she was immersed in the family retail clothing business…beginning with wrapping presents during Christmas time at 9 years old all the way to managing the store and buying at markets across the country while she was in college.
Erica attended Missouri Southern State University as well as Columbia College and Western Governors University in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Management. She finally graduated with her degree 23 years in the making in July 2019.
She is owner and president of Business Times Holdings, LLC which owns and operates COMO Magazine, a full-service marketing agency (Columbia Marketing Group), and a local ticketing and promotions platform (www.MidMoTix.com).
Erica shares her love of Columbia with the people she serves with on a multitude of boards including the Chamber of Commerce, Job Point, Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Missouri, and Heart of Missouri CASA. In 2017, Erica was named the Debin Benish Outstanding Business Woman of the year and her team was named the Columbia Chamber Of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year.
Erica is a single mother and has five children ranging in ages from 13 to 23 years old.
