It Starts With Us {Ourselves}

Maybe it was International Women’s Day that just happened. Maybe it was a post about 30 and 40-year-olds realizing they’re changing up the game because it’s not the game we actually want to play. Maybe it’s the sound healing I’ve been doing. Or maybe it’s the new song, “Growing Up Raising You.” Or maaaaaybe it’s the recent conversations I’ve had with other business owners.

But, Women’s International Day hit me a bit differently this year.

And because I share it allll I wanted to share the thoughts that came with that day…

It (being the ones who help make big changes in the world) starts with us.

Us as in ourselves.

When we step into our power we truly start to change things. Not only for ourselves, but our homes, and the world.

As a mom and business owner, this season is full of a lot of unlearning.

I’ve been leaning on, learning from, and collaborating with the other amazing women I know.

When we do the work to come into who we truly are, we change so much more.

Who we are.
Others around us.
But more importantly the generations after us.

Women do things differently and that’s okay. It’s more than okay. It’s what we do. We make things happen. We get shit done. (No, not that men don’t, so don’t come at me!)

Here’s to being examples for others. Here’s to being inclusive. Here’s to standing up for each other. Here’s to showing them what’s possible when we stand in our power.

Here’s to celebrating each other, but more importantly…ourselves.

WIth all the love,
Amanda
