How To Undo Send An Email
Remember that time you emailed someone without the attachment you said you’d attach?
Or that time you used a template and forgot to add their actual name in the (insert name her) spot?
Orrrrr that time you copied and pasted an email you sent to Mark, but didn’t change it from Mark to Brenda?
Me too, friends. Me too.
The first employee that I had at The Hatchery informed me that I could install an “undo send” feature on my Gmail account and it has saved me many times!
Some may have already figured this out, but for those who haven't, I wanted to pass it along!
So - in 3 steps (thanks to Google) here’s how to install "undo send" and you have fewer email fumbles
1. Go to your Gmail account
2. In the top right, click Settings (the gear-looking thing) and then click See all settings
3. Under the General tab, find "Undo Send," and select a Send cancellation period of 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds.
I have mine on 30 seconds because my brain needs that amount of time to think about what I've done
Hope this helps!
