You Can Change Your Mind
Guess what happened the other day?
A mentor/friend of mine created a group program.
Talked it up.
Shared all about it.
Built it.
Launched it.
Then…people signed up.
I signed up, and I was pumped!
Then…she called me.
She called to tell me she was canceling my membership.
“Oh, okay. What’s up?”
“There are offerings that don’t feel right. I’m taking those out and changing the price. I’m lowering it and have realized more of who it’s for AND the effort I actually want to put in that direction vs others.”
That’s paraphrasing, so maybe not direct quotes!
Anyway… I said okay and told her that with the changes I’m not sure I’m a great fit.
She agreed and explained a different offer that came to mind.
It was exactly what I would rather invest in because it was more my speed and more 1:1.
Later that day, I saw her post on her stories.
She explained that she was pulling it all down to revise it and then relaunch it.
Do you know what happened after that?
First, she didn’t die. I know that sounds extreme but our minds take us to worse-case scenarios when we think about making a change like that - ESPECIALLY after posting on social media about it 🫣
Second, others signed up. Immediately.
Point? You can change your mind about an offer or the direction of your business at literally any time.
You are the owner.
If it doesn’t feel right or you realize it’s not what you thought it was going to be…you can change it.
As long as you’ve fulfilled your obligations and communicated properly, because that’s what good biz owners do
But yeah. You. Can. Change. Things.
